“Cartoon Style Space Scene” – Illustrator Tutorial

In order to grow more accustomed to navigating and using Adobe Illustrator, I have followed the beginner Illustrator tutorial: Cartoon Style Space Scene by Spoon Graphics and created the scene below.

In addition to simply following the tutorial, I have adapted the methods used to create the planets and went beyond the brief, creating the space rocket visible in the centre of the piece. Several of the techniques gained from following this tutorial were incorporated in the construction of my “Hanging by a Thread” vector illustration that can be viewed here.
